This kitchen is a masterclass on how, when and where to use colour. During the very first design meeting, our clients stated they were not afraid to use colour and had very clear ideas on how they envisaged their finished kitchen. Three sides of the 4.7m island have been designed using a smooth lacquered door in vibrant cayenne with the remaining cabinets and tall units in cool carbon grey.

“We felt comfortable from when we first visited Contour as David was knowledgeable about Leicht kitchens but without being pushy to make a sale; in fact, we had to volunteer our details before we left! The two key things that stood out with their proposed layout were the simple but effective idea to box in above the units to create a clean wall run and to have a table extension to the island with just a central support. They were initially intrigued by our bold colour choice but, having visited our house, could see how it would fit in. The project ran smoothly and all of the contractors were first class. We would recommend being on-site for the work as there are always things that need on the spot decisions. Contour kept to their timetable of getting us a working kitchen in four weeks.”
